This venue exceeded all of my expectations for our wedding. Fort Langley Golf Course gave us the venue, food, drinks, and wedding coordination for the same cost I have heard people pay for catering alone at other weddings. The staff did an amazing job and I could not be happier with our wedding day. Their coordinator, Lisa, was especially helpful and flexible.
The venue is beautiful with modern finishing, plenty of windows, a speaker system, a bar, a fireplace, and lush landscape and gardening around the golf course. The hall can be resized for a variety of purposes with built-in auxilliary walls, which is handy for smaller events to save costs.
The food was phenomenal. They are partnered with a professional chef out-of-house that caters to the venue. We did not bother with taste-testing, we trusted them because of multiple references, and they did not disappoint. The only thing I wanted at my wedding was delicious food and hearty portions, and Fort Langley Golf Course knew how to deliver exactly that.
Liquor cannot be brought in, and must be bought in-house at prices similar to restaurants like Earls or Cactus Club. However, their selection covers all sorts of beers, wines, spirits, and Lisa would special order any drink you cannot find in their catalogue. We had a smaller budget but wanted to run an open bar, so we found it nice how Lisa allowed us to limit the type of liquor to the lower shelf stuff so that we didn’t overspend.
Lisa is a spectacular wedding coordinator. I was blown away by how much work she put into planning by replying to our questions, giving us suggestions, and preparing their staff and our vendors for the day. On the day of the wedding, Lisa made sure we kept to schedule, while making last minute changes on the fly when random hiccups pushed our schedule back. She even reduced prices at the very last minute when we realized we could cancel some venue ammenity purchases. You cannot find a better coordinator out there.
If we had to do our wedding all over again, we would absolutely do it at the Fort Langley Golf Course.
